Blue Dog Pond

Description: This fenced wide, rectangular field is perfect for throwing balls, with grassy side slopes that your dog can run up and down. There are interesting art sculptures throughout the park that make it unique, including a giant reposing “blue dog” at the entrance. As a catchment area for excess water, it can get muddy during the rainy season. It has running water.

Description: The dog parks is fenced only in the northern portion. It offers spectacular views of Puget Sound looking west and the Seattle Downtown skyline looking north. This main access trail is compacted gravel and can be followed over rolling contours. Drinking water for dogs is located down along the main trail.

Description: This fenced off-leash dog park is located at Pendergast Park. It opened in November, 2005. To get to the park from Hwy 16 or Hwy 3, head towards Bremerton, take the Loxie Eagans Blvd exit off of Hwy 3 and go west onto Werner Road. Turn left on Union Street and the park will be on the right. This location is considered a temporary location for the park so check to see if it has moved.

Bandix Dog Park

Description: This very large 30 acre off-leash park opened in July, 2004. It is not fenced and dogs that use it should follow voice commands well. The dog park is located on Bandix Road SE south of Burley-Olalla Rd and North of Nelson (Stevens) Road near State Highway 16. From State Highway 16 take Burley-Olalla Rd east to Bandix Road SE and turn right. The park will be on the right. The dog park is sponsored and maintained by Kitsap Dog Parks, Inc.

Description: This leash free dog park covers about 9 acres and is the biggest fully fenced off-leash park in Seattle. It also offers an access point to the lake where your pooch is welcome to take a dip in the fresh lake water. To find the dog park, take Sand Point Way Northeast and enter the park at Northeast 74th Street. Go straight and park near the playground and sports fields. The main gate to the off-leash area is located at the southeast corner of the main parking lot. Dogs must be leashed until you enter the off-leash area.
