Description: Fair little park w/ picnic tables and buckets of water @ each for the dogs and a doggie fountain that runs during open hours. Fenced w/ some small trees, normally several balls lying around in case you forget yours or you’re pups not the brightest. Also kind of nice cement pond NE of the fenced area to walk your dogs around (NOTE: there are geese & ducks, A leash for your dog is necessary ).

It has open fields for kite flying, all amenities and dogs can run free the fenced cow pastures (no cows), lots of running room with a creek to play in. Walking, jogging, biking path all around it.

Description: This dog park is fully enclosed with benches, trees, trash cans and water. There are two runs available, one for small dogs under 30 pounds and one for larger dogs over 30 pounds. Thanks to one of our readers who recommended this park. The park is located approximately 5 miles west of downtown Las Vegas and the Strip. From Flamingo Road/589 in downtown, head west and pass Hwy 15. Turn right on Durango Drive. Then turn right onto Spring Mountain Road. The dog park is located off Spring Mountain Rd., between the Community Center and Desert Breeze County Park.

Description: Dog Fancier’s Park is a 12 acre park that allows canine enthusiasts to train their dogs off leash. Owner’s must still have control over their dogs and may be cited if their dogs (while off leash) interfere with other animals training at the park. This dog park has benches, poop bags and water taps.

Description: Home to the annual Great Reno Balloon races, this huge park covers almost 600 acres of manicured turf, natural desert and wetlands, and has the largest off-leash space in the area. There is a pond and creek for dogs to play in with a walking path that surrounds it. Some of the amenities include benches, picnic areas, restrooms, and clean-up stations. Dogs must be on lead when not in the off leash areas, and there is signage indicating the areas in the park where pets are not allowed. Dogs must be cleaned up after at all times.

Description: This park has a 77 acre lake offering a wide variety of land and water activities and recreational pursuits. They also have the only fenced, off-lead dogpark in the Reno area where dogs can play in the water. The off lead area is almost an acre in size on the south side of the marina and features lots of grass, 150 feet of shoreline, clean-up stations, a fire hydrant, and a doggie drinking fountain. The marina is surrounded by a walking trail almost 2 miles long that is lighted for nighttime walks with your pet. Dogs must be on leash when not in the fenced, off-lead area, and they must be cleaned up after at all times. Dogs are not allowed on any of the beaches.
